Yu Garden Shanghai - Samsung S7 Edge Low Light Test

My Fuji XE-2 stopped working while I was in China and I was left with my phone camera for the rest of the trip. The Samsung S7 Edge did a wonderful job capturing details of architecture, vivid colours of landscapes and the occasional selfies. Where the camera excelled was at taking amazing low light photos thanks to its fast 1.7 Aperture and 12 MP Dual Pixel image sensor.

Yuyuan Garden also known as "Garden of Peace" is a  ancient Chinese garden located at the heart of the Huangpu district in Shanghai. The garden was built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty but it was only opened to the public in the 1960's. I had visit the garden during the day time and this time around I wanted to take night shots of the famous tea house and the Yuyuan Bazaar.

Yuyuan Bazar at Night
The garden is open to public from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm everyday but if you go at night the Bazaar area around the garden is lit up and the place is buzzing with tourist. There is a entrance free of 30 CNY to access the ancient garden , its definitely worth checking out. Yu garden is one of the most visited tourist spots in Shanghai so I would suggest going in the morning to avoid the crowds.
Entrance to Yuyuan Bazaar
You can reach the garden by taking the  subway line 10, get off at Yuyuan station and take exit 1 and the garden is a short walk away. There are many tea houses, shops and eateries in the narrow lanes and streets of the Bazaar; the food here is yummy and you can get good deals on souvenirs. Seeing people waiting in long ques to buy crab row dumplings and xiao long bao I was tempted to try them and they were both delicious !
